Woman, God has Heard Your Cry

“God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.” – Psalms 46:5 (NIV)

When life gets rough, many questions may cross our minds: Who am I? Why am I here? Do I have value? Am I truly loved? Does God really love me? And the list goes on. What do we do when these questions seem never-ending or go unanswered?

In moments when people feel pressed against the wall of life with no apparent way out, we have a friend in Jesus. He carries us when we cannot carry ourselves. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) reminds us: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

The Word of God promises that we can find answers to life’s many questions in Him. Recently, there was a situation that left a mother shattered. Despite her best efforts to protect her children, in a brief window of time, the enemy came in and violated her family. Difficult and challenging times bring countless questions, and in this woman’s case, she surely has many. Now, she must hold her family together as they navigate this ordeal, facing pain, confusion, tears, and deep uncertainty. A friend Who is Jesus can truly help carry someone through such dreadful days.

As we journey through life, we will encounter challenges, many of which stir emotions we struggle to process. Yet, God promises He will never leave us. Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) reassures us:

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in You.”  God has already created a way of escape for His people. Keep trusting in His Lordship over your life.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I am pressed, and I do not know what to do. My thoughts are racing with many questions. Your Word says in Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV): “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior Who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love, He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” So Father, today I place all my worries and anxious thoughts in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
